Mold Remediation and Treatment

Mold is almost ubiquitous. It constitutes part of the process of breaking down diseased and dead matter, i.e., returning dust to dust. It is opportunistic in that it thrives on moisture as well as darkness.

This webinar series will be divided into two main parts. The first part deals with remediation. The sources of mold, the ways to check for mold, and the correct methods for clearing mold from our working and living environments will be discussed.  The emphasis will be on detection, followed by safe removal of the risks to real property, possessions, and health.

The second part of the series will address health and the ways to recover after exposure to mold.

Auditors

Auditors have access to all materials. The prepayment fee is $25. After 31 August 2022, it is $36.

Mold 1 - Mold Detection and Remediation

Within hours of exposure to water, mold can appear. Besides the risk mold poses to health, it can cause serious property damage. Any property or possessions that have been exposed to moisture may become colonized by mold. This means that when there is heavy rain, melting snow, flooding,  leaking pipes, clogged pipes, poor drainage, damp crawl spaces, attics, or basements, mold will probably be present.  Likewise, mold can be found in air conditioners, air filtration devices, humifiers and dehumifiers, certain kinds of medical equipment, potted plants, greenhouses, refrigerators, washing machines, automobiles, hotels, restaurants, libraries, concert halls . . . in short, just about anywhere. At best, mold will cause deterioration and loss of value to real property and belongings.  At worst, it will eventually claim the lives of pets, loved ones, and oneself. The purpose of this webinar is to raise awareness and define the correct procedures for removing mold.

Mold 2 - Symptoms of Mold Infection: Allergies & Immunity

Very few doctors have been trained to look for mold and even fewer know how to treat pets and people who have been exposed to mold. Textbooks tend to suggest the mold can cause allergic reactions in particularly sensitive or immuno-compromised individuals.  This perspective is a disservice to  patients who are at risk.  Only about 25% of individuals exhibit clear signs of allergic reactions to mold, but this does not mean that it is safe for the other 75% of the population to be exposed to mold.

Allergies are actually only the tip of the iceberg.  If mold is vegetative, it will obtain the nutrients it craves by feasting on cells in practically any bodily tissue, including nutrients in plasma and blood cells. It also secretes mycotoxins that accumulate over time and contribute to very serious degenerative diseases.

In this webinar, the risks of mold exposure and early symptoms will be discussed along with actions one can take to stabilize enough to take the necessary protective and recovery measures.

Mold 3 - Mold Colonization

penicillium

Once mold has entered the body, whether through inhalation or ingestion, it tends to colonize via a system of hyphal structures. There are technical terms for these processes, but mold is a living entity with a propensity to grow and colonize. Inside the body, the hyphae constitute part of the feeding system and these can basically draw their nutrition from anywhere in the body: the blood, lungs, brain, reproductive system. . . anywhere!

Through long-term microscopic analysis of live blood, the mechanisms for disrupting the feeding system and curtailing the invasion have been developed.  If an individual has been exposed to mold, remediating or moving will not solve the problem because the mold is already inside the body. The mold colonies have to be disabled by disrupting the feeding system that sustains mold growth. In contrast to property, the moisture in the body cannot be eliminated so the approach has to rely on chemicals found in Nature that inhibit mold growth.

Mold 4 - Cognition

Many people who have been exposed to mold have cognitive issues. They may be disoriented or suffer from memory loss. Some lose the ability to enunciate certain sounds or they slur. Others lose some vocabulary.  Regaining full control over neurological functions is a critical part of the recovery process. Strategies and herbs for neuroregeneration will be covered in this webinar.

Mold Webinar Level 2

The next two webinars are devoted to solutions to the issues raised in the introductory material. There is a small fee for enrollment. The fee is however waived for those who have supported the Institute with donations.  If the amount suggested poses a hardship, please ask for a discount. There are expenses involved in hosting the webinars, web site development and maintenance, editing and archiving, creation or acquisition of graphics, and office overhead.  In addition, a lot of time goes into research and preparation. Your understanding is appreciated.

Mold 5 - Mycotoxins and Regeneration

mold in bloodAs a living organism, mold has biological and metabolic functions, some of which are highly toxic. Unlike allergies that go away when the exposure is eliminated, mycotoxins tend to be cumulative, meaning as more mycotoxins enter the system, more burden is placed on the body. Many of the mycotoxins are carcinogenic so the effects of exposure are often delayed until a real crisis is discovered 10, 15, or 20 years down the road.  To avert such consequences, careful detoxification needs to be undertaken. The measures for removing mycotoxins through diet and herbs will be covered in this webinar.

Mold 6 (Bonus Webinar) - Life Style & Dietary Adjustments

Anyone who has been through a major encounter with mold knows that it can ruin or destroy life. Therefore some preventative measures can be considered by those who want to be safe rather than sorry. In this webinar, the issues will be seriously considered. While some people simply want to lose the weight they gained while exposed to mold, others recognize that the weight is a symptom, not the root of the problem. There are changes in life style and diet that support reduction of risks and the regaining of true health. These practices will be addressed in this bonus webinar.
